ID: exh39128
Fractured (Broken) Ankle Surgery. This full color medical exhibit pictures the surgical repair of a traumatic open left ankle fracture. The pre-operative condition is shown in two views: an external view of the left foot with the large open laceration, and a skeletal view with a fracture of the medial malleolus (distal tibia) Two intra-operative views show the placement of a screw to reapproximate the fragment. A final post-operative view completes the exhibit.
